To
Our New FRIENDS
We are delighted that you have decided to support the Center by
helping to plan a special event in your community.
We are tremendously grateful to you and are happy to help you in
any way to have a successful event. We have worked with many individuals
like you and can provide sample fliers, publicity materials, program
booklets, invitations, and even press releases.
We recommend that you form a committee to help you in your project.
The synergy of team building and of working together with friends
is both an efficient and enjoyable way to make your project successful.
In addition to fundraising, we hope that you will proudly spread
the word about our work through the Centers brochure, references
to our website, and referral of clients who need our help.

Suggestions for Success
Many of the suggested projects have already been successful in raising
funds for the Center in the past, but we encourage you to be creative
the skies the limit!
The Center will be happy to supply our logo, brochures, and/or speakers
as needed.
Team up with a local business or practitioner you frequent (such
as a health food store, chiropractor or fitness center or
they may not even be health-related at all) and get a percentage
of their sales allocated for the Center.
Request donations of merchandise or services for a raffle or auction
as a way to advertise their business.
Get local teens or college students involved. Remember, much of
the Centers thrust is cancer prevention through lifestyle
education, and the younger we start, the better!
Unless you have a lot of experience you may wish to start with a
small project targeting only a small number of people. Learn and
grown from there. Several small events could potentially raise as
much money as one large one.
Make the Center a beneficiary of some of the activities of another
group to which you already belong.
Friends Benefits:
The satisfaction of knowing that you are supporting an organization
that for over 27 years has helped more than 25,000 persons to fight
cancer and has provided cancer prevention training for the rest of us;

A tax-deductible receipt for your contribution of the net
profits from your event(s);
